ACE Connect

The best way to describe ACE Connect would be in-house "clinic days" which gives all ACE students a chance to work on and clear out their own personal health issues with the guidance of an ACE 3 Practitioner/Student.

Goals of ACE Connect:

  • To give ACE 3, 4 and 5 Practitioners time to practice what they learned from their ACE courses in a guided practical setting and allow them to complete case studies on volunteer clients. They will be able to ask questions from Richard to assist them through the ACE strategies and really develop their skills using ACE.
  • To give ALL students an opportunity to work on their own health issues, experience ACE for themselves and to become healthier so you're working at your optimal best.
  • To provide ACE Level 4 Trainers and Level 5 Masters with an opportunity to share their knowledge, answer questions and develop their "expertise" through supervision, observation, ability to respond to ACE Questions with ease, and to become a true "Master" in the ACE field.
There is no cost for students to participate in an ACE Connect day. Plus its a great opportunity to open up the Student body to meet other ACE Students!

ACE Connect Message from Richard

Becoming a Master

ACE Connect is a chance for ACE Level 3,4 and 5 students to use what they learn in a practical setting with "real people". As an ACE Master we are looking for you to really "Master" your ACE skills by being BOTH a skilled ACE practitioner as well as by offering your ACE knowledge and expertise to other's and assisting in a "supervisory" Q&A capacity.

When questions arise from ACE Level 3+ students, who are working with another student on ACE Connect days (Thu-Fri), we will get them to post their questions up on the Skype "ACE Connect" message centre for a Master or Richard to answer and "help them out".
As a Master you can either respond to the question on the Connect message centre or let them know you will Skype the practitioner directly (especially if the question seems to be personal in nature). As long as Richard knows you are responding back, this is KEY!

This will be your opportunity to show Richard how much you are grasping the ACE Master level of knowledge by responding back and helping the student with their client. We may request feedback from the practitioner about your ability to respond to their questions.

Keep in mind, Richard is ALWAYS observing and takes notice of those students at the Masters level who are excelling with ACE. Your participation is mandatory to receive an ACE Certification at the "ACE 5 Level". Your final ACE evaluations with Richard will include a review of your participation in ACE Connect.

  • Masters will NOT get an Official Certificate until Richard feels they have earned the title of an ACE Master. (regardless of any past classes in other modalities)
  • Participation also includes responding to any questions inside of the Private Facebook Groups for ACE Level 1,2 and 3. Links to these groups are located on the Main Course Pages for each course level.

Gaining Practical Experience

You will also be able to work on each other in a "Practitioner capacity" as well with other ACE students from ACE Level 1-5, on a health issue, and gain the experience you need to use this in a "real life" client setting.

We understand that you may be working your way through the course levels yourself and that you may not yet be ready to take on the "ACE Master" title.

To participate either as a Practitioner or as a Master, please be sure to request access to the ACE Connect Skype group to begin participating in this incredible opportunity.
  • Get Skype at Skype.com and load it to your computer.
  • Add "richardflook1" and "khilts" to your Skype contacts
  • Request to be added to the ACE Connect Group on Skype
  • Answer any questions that may come up for practitioners who are working with a "student client". If you have time to offer to "sit in" or speak to the practitioner one-to-one, make that offering and follow through.

How to Connect with Potential Clients or to Get Your own Stuff worked on...

View the ACE Connect Forum/Message Board

How it works

  • Potential students who would like to work on an issue, can add their name in response to the ACE Connect board. As a Master, you are also allowed to "play the client" and get your own issues worked on.
  • Practitioners can respond to requests inside of the forum/message board and connect with those people via Skype to work on their issue. When a connection is established, the practitioner should comment that a connection has been made, so other practitioners know the "student client" is being worked with already. Upon completion, the practitioner can comment with a "Case Closed" so we know that the "case" has been completed.
  • Student can open a new topic if they wish to work on an additional issue with someone. Remember this is about clearing out all our own stuff so we can always be at our own best.

We will send reminder emails out through the Student Newsletter at the beginning of the week to remind you to review the ACE connect section of the website.

If you have further questions, please don't hesitate to speak to Richard or Karen further. Leave us a message on Skype and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

ACE Level 4 Students:

ACE Connect is a chance for ACE Level 3+ students to use what they learn in a practical setting with "real people". ACE practitioner students will be able to work on each other as well as work on any other student from ACE 1-5, on an issue, and gain the experience they need to use this in a "real life" client setting.

Today will be our "first attempt" at putting an ACE Connect day together. It's new to us as well and we want to get a feel for how to make the process happen "simple" in the future. In addition it will allow all students to have the opportunity to connect up and either get their stuff "worked on" OR practice what you have learned in the ACE 3 course.

  • Get Skype at Skype.com and load it to your computer.
  • Add "richardflook1" and "khilts" to your Skype contacts
  • Request to be added to the ACE Connect Group on Skype
  • We will post up potential clients for you to "practice" with using the 16 steps.

As potential clients connect with us, we will place a request on the ACE 3 Connect Group for you to work with those potential clients.

This is also a good way to complete case study reports that are required to get certified for ACE Course Levels.

ACE Level 2 Students:

Thanks for your interest in being a "client" on ACE Connect day!

Here is what you need to do to connect with an ACE 3 student and get your "stuff" worked on.

Skype Account
Skype will allow us to connect over the internet one-to-one or in groups. It is a Voice over Internet Program (VOIP) that allows you to both talk and send instant messages. We will need you to have Skype on your computer and send us your account name so we can add you and connect you to a ACE 3 Student Practitioner.

If you do not currently have Skype on your computer, you will need to download this free program from Skype.com. Once you have it downloaded and operating on your computer, you will need to create an account so that you can log in as a user.

Once logged in, add "khilts" and "richardflook1" to your list of contacts. Once done, you can let us know that you have an issue you would like a fellow student to work on using ACE. It will give you some experience using ACE on your own issues while giving a Student Practitioner some valuable "practice" time.

Please note, this is a experiential practical for ACE Level 3 so they can get in some valuable time and complete case study work and learn by doing. Mistakes can happen. They may also ask Richard (or a Master) questions during the process to really grasp the learning and improve their skills using ACE. Please be patient with your "coach". We appreciate it!!

It is best that you have a headset with microphone (reduce echo/background sound) but speakers and mic will also work.

You will be set up with 1 to 2 practitioners (depending on availability) to "work on your issue". 1 practitioner will work with you through the ACE process while the other observes and assists as needed.

Nothing is recorded. Practitioners must practice confidentiality with clients just as they would in their own practice.

You are permitted to attend future ACE Connect sessions to work on additional issues and clear out your own health conflicts. We will post up future dates (with more advanced notice) and also send those dates via student newsletter updates.

We will announce future dates for ACE Connect both here and through the Student Newsletter and Facebook Groups.
